  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My family has allways moved around a lot. I was always homeschooled and because we moved a lot, it was hard to do my schoolwork between packing and unpacking and just moving in general. On top of that, I had very severe migraines for three years, almost everyday. Although I have been healed of my migraines and we are currently settled (at least for a year), I never was able to finish my school. We went to the high school four blocks from my house to check on putting my younger brother in school for the year. While there, we found out about a program which is like an accelerated class where I can graduate in one school year. My mom and I discussed and prayed about and felt that I should enroll. But having never been to a real school before, I'm nervous and have no idea what to expect.

it depends on the school. when i first started a new school, people excepted me and i was part of the "in" crowd instantly. in seventh grade i had to move and at this school i wasnt excepted quite as easily. i am a junior and i am jus now in the "in" crowd. people are very rarely mean to new kids, unless they have personal problems. if someone is mean to u, dont let it get to u. dont hide that ur a christian, many people will respect u more because u r one. Good Luck! Pray it up!

P.S. try walking into the boys bathroom!, i accidentily walked into the girls and when i walked out the entire cafeteria was silently looking at me. i got applause in every class after that for a week.

Walk into the guys bathroom, aye? I'll have to think about that one. :)
I'm not really worried about being excepted. It's more of a...what are the classes like, what's homework like, just the whole thing. I'm not really worried about the other students, I'm not the most outgoing person, but I've bever had a problem making friends.

First of all, I think it's awesome that you're doing this! Congratulations. :)

My advice to you is to not worry too much about it. I can see how you would be nervous, but I'm sure everything will be fine. Classes vary from school to school, and it also depends on the teacher. Homework also varies depending on the teacher. Don't get too worried though, because it won't be anything you can't handle.
