My First Novel...

I know plenty of people who write, novice work, though. Now I'm working on a novel. It's basically going to be the same as my rpg, which, I think, has been a sucess. This will be my first novel, and I have a strong feeling that that will show in the finished product. I'm worried my writing will mimic that of authors I've read before. I was just wondering if I should make a "professional" looking copy of it. If I should, where could I send it in Kansas, where it can be published?

You should always make a professional looking copy of it before submitting it for publication. If you're concerned about your writing mimicking the work of others, I would probably recommend having friends read some of it, and then read a few pages other author's work. We are our own worst critics.
