I have 2 dogs, Lady, (Mutt) and Scottie, (Scottish terrier). I got them both from the animal shelter here in Greenville, SC.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a dog! His name is Cody. He is soooo cute. He is half Chow Chow and something else i dont know. He has a mane like a lion and he sneezes funny and i like to pet him and he become so happy.

I adore shelties!!!!
I belive that the best place to get a dog or cat is from the animal shelter! Those poor, poor animals need a home too!!
If my mom would let me have more dogs I'd go for it and the first place I'd go would be to the animal shelter.

Chester - long haired tiger tabby cat 6 years old
Zoe - Welsh corgie mix, always wants a hug
Wicket - purebred Pekingese (I named him Wicket from Star Wars because he looked just like an ewok as a pup, now he looks just like Gizmo from Gremlins)
Ginger - sun conure parot, she's mouthy

My pet history...(past and current pets)
George and Shelley - turtles bought from a pet store that lived on our apt. balcony in Hong Kong.
Abby ("Abijah") and Zeke ("Ezekiel") - two mutts, one black/brown and one white, that we got from the animal shelter in Malaysia. As puppies, they caught a couple stray cats that wandered into our enclosed yard and left them for us to clean up!
I went through 6 white mice just to do one school science project in 10th grade...they kept poking their heads through the mesh wire bottom of the cage to get fallen sunflower seeds, then die 'cuz they couldn't get their heads back out! Stupid.
Maddie - my parents' dog they bought at a shelter in South Dakota. She's half American Eskimo, half something else. Basically 50 pounds of fur! LOL
Mr. B, Andreas, and Seb - the 3 rabbits we had in SD that my mom gave away this year in MN. My sister's "Mr Brimble" was a lop-eared agouti (brown patches on white), Andreas - mine - was a large gray male, and Seb - my mom's - was a cuddly black female. "Seb" and "Mr. Brimble" are two names that my brother Alan invented for one of his fiction stories.
"Fish" - no-name betta and 3 goldfish in my dorm room. I do catch myself talking to them sometimes.

We have Mr. Thomas Hobbes, the Sheppiedale (Airedale/German Shepherd mix), who never has a bad day. And we have Markko The Moo, purebred German Shepherd, who never met a person he didn't like. Both dogs are rescues, Hobbes from the county animal shelter, and Markko from a purebred rescue organization.
Hobbes competes in Agility, and I have to brag: Last year, he earned "Outstanding Novice Dog" from NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council). He is also our resident mouser.
Markko has almost every genetic defect known to afflict German Shepherds. The latest is a neurological disorder (cause unkown) that is causing some paralysis in his hind legs. He is our "Special Needs Child". But despite all his health problems, he has always been a very sweet, happy, loving dog.

I have one dog Her name is Matildia, Millie is what we call her. We got her when I was in high school from a friend of my aunts when she was one and a half years old. Now she is 7 and still as hyper as a puppy. She is a purebreed Englsh Springer Spaniel.
My mom got her for my brother for hunting and lone be hold she is affraid of guns and became my baby.
She loves kids as long as they go home after a while other wise she gets mad at me. When I moved away she stayed with my parents and then they where going to get rid of her but my fiance at the time took her to his mom and dads place then when we got married we moved into my mom and dad's house(they moved) and we took her back. She is also a very good watch dog when she wants to be that is.
She is funny becasue my husband drives truck and its like she canm tell when he gets to town with his truck cause when he is like just pulling into town she will go and wait at the door till he gets home and won't move till he comes in.
