Maybe Valentine needs to go back and look at Post 51?
After I edited it.After you edited it... or did you think we wouldn't notice?
After I edited it.
I went back and looked at it and ... frankly ... it surprised me.
I then saw where you were coming from and I edited it.
You're welcome.
That ain't gonna happen.I'll thank you when I get an apology...
That ain't gonna happen.
As I said, it was an oversight on my part, since I knew what part of your post I was responding to and didn't want to post your whole spiel.
That's what happens when one asks a simple question and gets a wall of text in reply.
One has to reply to it by highlighting only the part of the text he's responding to.
What do you think I'm doing online right now???
Asking inane questions in the hopes that you can somehow validate your own arrogant pride.
Using pseudotheological doublespeak to stroke his own ego.
Is that not basically what I said?
In your opinion, did Darwin approve of slavery?
Does Mother Nature approve of slavery? In my opinion, I do not care.
Just like I don't care what Newton's favorite food was.
Does Mother Nature approve of slavery?
Does my question offend you? intrigue you? stump you? humor you?AV, why is this such a hang up for you?
Does my question offend you? intrigue you? stump you? humor you?
My answer:In your opinion, did Darwin approve of slavery?
And I'll say this ahead of time for those of you who think unilaterally:
Just don't assume I'm talking about Homos.
Hint: Polyergus rufescens.
What you're demonstrating, Warden ... at least to me ... is an aversion to answer the question.I would say that intrigue is the best one of your suggestions. So why? Why are you so hung up on the issue of slavery?
Does Mother Nature approve of slavery? My answer:
No idea. Why would it matter?
What you're demonstrating, Warden ... at least to me ... is an aversion to answer the question.
IN MY OPINION, it is because some people are good at using issues ... such as slavery ... to rub Christians' noses in them.
But then ... when the shoe is on the other foot ... and someone discovers that Mother Nature uses slavery to forge a symbiotic relationship for survival, you're "caught with your pants down," and the result ... at least initially ... is to ad hom the person making the points, because he or she is seen as a threat.
And believe me, I'm no psychoanalyst ... and I could be wrong.
But as I said before: this stuff makes good Sunday school material.
Could we leave human slavery out of this thread, please? You didn't even ask me a question in the first place. And no, human slavery is not a symbiotic relationship. It is a conscious effort to deprive one group of humans of their rights and freedoms purely because the other group believed that they were superior to them.
