My Dad

Requesting prayer for my dad. I just found out late last night that he is in ICU in a hospital and isnt expected to live (combination of age, several very really severe health issues, etc) - could go in the next 5 minutes or hang on for the next 5 days.

What I am requesting prayer for is this: I have no idea of his spiritual condition - most my life all i knew about his view on it was he was against God or wanted nothing to do with Him.

I heard the the family rumour mill a year or so ago that he had been going to church with his wife (step mother) the past several years. That itself is a big change but dont know if he converted or anything.

So, been asking God today that somehow provide a way to allow him to be awake and lucid long enough to make sure things are right between he and God before he goes.

My heart goes out to you at the loss of your Dad. Losing a parent is very hard. My father died when I was five years old. I want you to know that I care about you and your pain. I will be praying for you on a regular basis cuz I believe in the power of prayer. Know that you are surrounded by LOVE on all sides.

i am so sorry to hear about passing away I lost my dad too so I understand what you are going thru ,my prayers are with you & your family . hope he was saved thanks be to God we will get to see all our loved ones again someday soon .in Jesus name we pray Amen

I was told the other day when my mother visited dad in the hospital to say goodby (they been divorced for around 25 yrs but remained best friends) - she said she asked him if he was ready to go spiritually to meet God and he said he was.

Mom is catholic and dad was or always had been basically a non beleiver. my dad's wife atends a church but I dont how deep into it she is or he was.

I want to beleive that he made his peace with God and was ready to go.

Goodby dad. will see you again some day.

Sorry to hear about your Dad's death. BIG HUGGS for you! Thats reassuring to know he said he was ready to go with GOD! There are more death bed conversions than we could imagine. Assume he did make his peace with God and know you will see him again!! Praying for you and your family

Bobby told me of the passing of your dad and I just had to track you down here on CF to expess my heart felt regret for your deep loss.
I can not begain to say I know how you feel cause I don't. But I can tell you that I am praying that your heart does not hurt to deeply for to long and that you are able to have peace with what your mother shared with you about your dad being ready to meet God face to face. I dread the day I have to go through this myself. I also pray you keep reaching out in this time of need to those you have meet at Celebrate and church.

Keep searching Norm, God is here waiting for you to reach out your hand in to His and hold you as His son.
