The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I am sorry you are having a hard time with you dad leaving, I know somethimes adults do things that are hard to understand at times, I know a little of how you feel my kids Dad is not in our home at this point and I know my kids are going threw alot,( I did not ask he to leave, he got himself into trouble and in a treatment program at the prison.) I will keep you in my prayers, and it is ok to cry! I know things will get better!

well...i said "strange" cause u are stayin with your stepmom, and your father had left.
i hope the seperation does good to them both.
have they considered asking for some professional help?? they might be able to find alternatives in the co-living...

I am so sorry...I don't know what is going on but I can only imagine how you feel......Is everything okay with step mom and family? You guys get along and are like a mother father daughter thing. Well what I am trying to say is I have 4 step children of my own. I love them so much. So, just pray and I will pray for you. God will answer maybe not right away but he will. I am sorry your dad is not there, but I will pray for you.

Try to love and help your folks as much as you can, in this you serve Christ and our father in heaven. Try to replace the darkness and hatred with love and light, however don't blame yourself if things go wrong, its basically a thing between your dad and your stepmom. But you can try to make things more liveble and try to make compromises and trying to convince your dad not to go into arguments, trying to settle down, anything that would help into keeping the peace in the house.
