My closure video

Hey guys - I already posted this as part of another thread in the main forum. I thought I'd post it in here as well, where most of my posts regarding my marriage took place.

This is the first video clip I've ever made - the whole process was a lot of fun (and quite addictive, I might add, so let me know if you think I did an okay job - I'll probably try my hand at some more).

It is nice to be able to look at the wedding photos and not feel anger or bitterness. Although I still get a kick out of some of my earlier screensavers and avatars (you'll see them flash by in the video).

Praying for all of you that you will find God's peace, no matter your circumstances.

I admire your skills since I wouldn't have a clue to do this.
I have mixed feelings watching this. My first thought is why did this have to happen? Everyone is so happy and it's perfect on the wedding day (or at least the pics).
I want a good, Christian marriage so badly before my kids are grown and gone and my body declines more with age, but how can I trust my judgment that is so faulty when it comes to men? Hey, that's what your video makes me think of.

It was a beautiful wedding day, and we were happy - but some things are just illusion, ya know? What I have to learn, and this may apply to you as well, is that no matter how much you like someone you can't let yourself be blinded at the beginning of the relationship. We all want to excuse any flaws in our newly beloved.

We need to look at any prospective mate through the lens of the Bible - and live our own lives with consideration to the fact that the man God intends for us, if any, will certainly be looking at us through that same lens.

Thank you for telling me I am beautiful - honestly, I just take a good photograph. My hair never looks that good in person - something about the lighting I guess. One of the most interesting things I've found about the photography is that I take a much better picture without makeup (except lipstick) - I look like my brother in drag when I wear it for photos. IRL, however, I look better with a little makeup on.

Thank all of you for your nice words - I'm going to expand the above video to encompass the whole song, with more pics and some home movie material. Then I have a whole different idea for a retrospective from my hometown circa 1977. I'm brimming with creativity which has just burst on the scene from nowhere. This time last week, I had no desire whatsoever to do any such thing - nor would I have thought I had the talent to make it look decent.

Next I want to make some completely original material - using only my own pics and movies along with music from either my daughter (the musically gifted one) or some of our local kids. I cannot begin to describe how odd it is for this kind of thing to be something I want to do. I am so uncreative (in this way) and uncrafty.

Ack, sorry to run on. Can you tell this is exciting to me??

After about 21 years of living as a Christian I am just getting this now. I now know that going to church regulary and confessing oneself as a born again Christian are just two of the many things I should be looking for in a husband. I guess this is why I'm still single since this is all just coming together for me after changing churches, getting involved in a small group and hearing some really good stuff from the single and senior pastor at my new church.
