  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Our Heavenly Father, You are the One True God, the Almighty, Omnipresent, and Most High. As we of this group approach yet another time of family fellowship, there is an emptyness in our hearts for someone who is not with us. You have called them home to your eternal kingdom, for that we are thankful, yet as human beings, we miss them. Father, please hold us close to you, build a hedge of protection, peace, and joyfulness around us. Hold us in Your Light so that we can survive the evil ones arrows that are thrust upon our hearts. For those of us with little ones Father, we lift them up to You. Give us wisdom beyond our measure to help them through this time. We praise You Father, for Your Grace, for the many blessings that You provide to us on a daily basis, many of which we take for granted; blessings that are provided to wretched souls such as us. We love You, we honor You, We praise You! Thank you Father for Your Son's sacrifice. The ultimate price that was paid for all sin! Help us to life each day of our lives in a way that will strengthen and bring glory to Your Kingdom. Forgive us when we fall. Give us wisdom to see opportunities for Your Kingdom, to love our brother, to be a witness for Your Love to those You have called. Help us to boldly give a response of the hope that resounds in us. We pray these things in the name of Your Son, our Lord and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for the beautiful prayer. I am sure Christmas has many special meaning for all of us and Christmas (or any other occasion/ any other normal day) without our spouses will never be the same ever again.

The Christmas of 1999 was the first time I brought my husband (then boyfriend) home to meet my family. I remembered that we were so nervous. We bought a log cake and were hesitating at the car park downstairs before we took the lift up to the apartment. But once my family met my husband, they liked him immediately and since that year, he joined us for every Christmas eve dinner. I never knew that our dinner last year would be our last Christmas together...

We understand, and we are here for you. Sometimes, words fail to give help to the hurting-but prayer always works. You are in my prayers.
