My Beloved.

[Martyr's Crown]

I wrote this poem some days ago. It is mostly very inspired from John 16 and 17. It helps being reminded of how Jesus sees us as well as thinks of us.


My Beloved

Beloved, I have chosen you out of the world.
Just as I am not of the world,
you also are not of the world.

Beloved, you were given to me by the Father.
All of His is mine,
and all of mine is His.

Beloved, from since the foundations of the earth,
I thought of you.
And I knew you.

Beloved, you are of the Father.
That's why you were given to me,
that's why you are called.

Beloved, I have given you the Father's word.
You are given the truth,
and let His truth sanctify you.

Beloved, I pray for you.
I ask the Father,
that He should keep you from the evil one.

Beloved, you are all kept in His name.
None of you will perish when you are in me,
you are kept saved in me.
I am your saviour and Lord,
I am the true Christ.

Beloved, I know the Father.
The world has not known Him,
but you have known that He has sent me.

Beloved, because you are in me.
The world hates you,
because you are not of the world.

Beloved, you are heirs of God's Kingdom.
It gives the Father great joy,
to be giving you the kingdom.

Beloved, as I have been sanctified for your sake.
You can now be sanctified by the truth,
you can now be cleansed by my blood.
Standing in my grace,
through faith and trust alone.

Beloved, my peace I give to you.
You will have tribulations in this world,
but I have overcome the world.
And I have come and spoken these things,
so that my joy will be fullfilled in you.

And what a joy it is,
knowing the Lord!
And most of all,
what a joy it is being known by Him!
