Great day for Mustangs!!

The following P-51 Mustangs were present for Saturday's flying fun at Paine Field in Everett, Washington:

P-51D Mustang "Val-Halla" piloted by Greg Anders, belonging to Heritage Flight Museum (Bellingham)
P-51B Mustang "Impatient Virgin?" piloted by John T. Sessions, belonging to Historic Flight Foundation (Paine Field)
P-51D Mustang "Upupa Epops" piloted by Carter Teeters, belonging to Flying Heritage Collection (Paine Field)

Very nice shots!!

Perfect amount of prop blur on them too. I was at an airshow at the weekend (first on I actually shot), dialled in 1/160 to 1/200 and didn't quite get that amount. I'm guessing you were around 1/125th or so?

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the photographs. These are what the car were named after. Also, these Mustangs will have some competition this summer, with the addition of an airworthy Luftwaffe Focke-Wulf 190!

Mandy - I too would love to fly in one of them!! Next month I will, however, get an opportunity to fly in a WWII bomber to photograph two late WWII Navy fighters.
