I was in one 10 years ago as part of the choir for a national production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Australia (ah, the days when I could sing!) I loved The Phantom of the Opera and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, but don't really have a favourite character as such.

I love musicals....so many to choose from.

If I had to pick a favorite character from one though, I love the Witch in "Into The Woods"...though that's mostly because it was a role originated by Bernadette Peters...who I think is awesome. :)

Les Miserables is the all time best musical, I have all the lines memorized...I always envisioned myself as Eponine, but my voice is just not what it used to be...
If i was a man though I would dream of playing Javert though, just for that one note, his suicide note, the one he sings as he jumps to his death, the most beautifully horrific note ever.

My favorite musical is one I'm starring in now - Little Shop of Horrors!! Another top-notch musical that's high on my favorites list is Mamma Mia!. I've seen it 5 times in 4 different cities. Even cooler - I'm going to see Little Shop on BROADWAY in NYC this June - my first Broadway musical!!

My mom used to think it was weird that as a young child I was mesmerized by movie musicals. I think I discovered "Oklahoma" in 2nd grade, and "My Fair Lady" shortly thereafter. Yes, it grew into quite an obsession for many years!

My all time favorite composer is Stephen Sondheim (with Bernstein running a close second)! My favorite musical is Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park With George."

My favorite role I've played is Hodel in "Fiddler," and the roles I would most like to play are The Baker's Wife in "Into the Woods," and Ado Annie in "Oklahoma." Oh, and Fantine in "Les Mis."
