Musical experiment

I write books, mostly (though I have yet to see one all the way through to the final draft and publishing) but I took one conflict and made it into a ballad. Here it is (or what I can remember of it.) Keep in mind it is set in a fantasy world.

(Slow, ballad. James sings out in despair over his love)
James:
My Aurora! Oh belov-ed! Blessed star of Heaven's grace!
Struck down from the sky
You left me wond'rin' why
This darkness takes your place

Was it Fate who sent you to me, just to steal you back again
The die Chance had cast
Took my true-love and last
Whilst Sorrow closes in

I have lost you, my Aurora, in the depths of my despair!
Through passion's failing sight,
My hatred burning bright,
I cannot find you there

"At your side I shall protect you!" Was that not the vow I swore?
I failed you in love,
But to heaven above,
I swear, to end this WAR!!!!!!

That's all I had, for that one part...

I hear you, NavyGuy7. I look at sheet music and get this glazed-over stare in my eyes. :p

I would love to be able to write and/or play music!! But I suppose poetry is the next best thing to music in a way.

I actually started writing a STOMP routine once some-odd years ago. Does that count as writing music?? :p

Maybe.. I have no clue what a STOMP routine would entail... I suppose you do some stomping, but whatever, I'm not sure.
And... lyrics are the poetry of music. All music containing good lyrics taht are not just "the cat sat on the mat" can be considered poetry... in my opinion at least.
So vulgar words kinda detract from that unless used in such a way as to add emphasis to a certain emotion, but not all the time or so much that that is ALL the song is about.

Wow...just, wow.

If you liked that, you should read teh book it's based off of...
Umm...
Once I rewrite, edit, and publish it, that is...
I'm a procrastinator... but as soon as I have some free cash that i don't need for plane tickets, I'll see about getting a permanent version of Microsoft Word.. this is my new laptop, after all.... 3 months old, in my possession, anyway, on teh 19th of May.. AHH! HAS IT BEEN ALMOST FIVE MONTHS ALREADY?!?!?
