Music... Which genre is the best?

Used to be a lot of rock, but Classical (especially orchestral/symphony style) has taken a commanding lead... I like instrumental stuff in general, especially some of the darker and almost Gothic kind of stuff. Yeah, I'm weird.

I'm not too familiar with that many just yet, but there's one really cool group called Apocalyptica that I like... they do some CRAZY stuff with cellos that you wouldn't believe! (They got their start doing covers for Metallica, and it sounds really cool if you like rock music...)

I'm afraid of saying one genre in particular, 1) because I like so many different types and combinations, and 2) does anyone really know the official genres for all the groups out there?! Genre classification is so subjective! Take KoRn, for instance. Rock? Rap? Numetal? Goth? Depending on who you talk to, they're some, all, or none of those. I listen to good music, or at least music that I think is good. I like techno like The Crystal Method and Juno Reactor, dark, powerful, twisted rock like KoRn, Static-X, and Deftones, and classical stuff by J.S. Bach, Brahms, Allegri, Barber, Schubert, Holst, Gounod, Faure, Poulenc, Satie, Debussy, etc, etc, etc. Does that make me weird? Yes. Do some people not like me for it? Yes. Some people don't like 17th century English drama either, but I read that anyway. So anyway... yeah... 's good... somethin'...
