Hey everyone,

I have for some time now been away from Christian Forums for a good while. But I am back and would like to pose a new idea. Well it is actually an old idea but i am just now posting it. A multi-verse rpg.
I have had trouble creating a good start to this rpg but i think the best so far is that it starts with Humans -children, teens, or older; it is good for story development to have some older characters - who are playing a video game of their choosing when something goes wrong and they get sucked into that games universe! -Ya I know! This is some dot/hack/sign OR Monster Rancher stuff, but it works - Your character will start off in this universe but only a very small aspect of it. The humans will make themselves like a character from that universe (for example: I am from Starwars:KOTOR. I want to be a jedi. So i turn myself into a jedi based on stats, skills, and powers from that game.) and then your character is informed of what is going on by some Game entity -much like ./hack.sign- and u r then ported to a common area (universe) with other 'human' characters.

You can be from any 'universe' even if it has no link to an internet source. (eq: metroid, star wars, Mario, x-men, fire emblem, LOTR, pokemon, etc.)

Good idea for a rpg. Just one piece of advice, I tried doing something like this once and one problem that came up was power levels. When mixing universes power ratings might need to be changed to make things fair for everyone.

I have run into that problem b4 too. Don't worry. Basically what i do is pick a 'Dominate' universe that all the others are based on... stats wise. Like a conversion method.

I want for this to be a true RPG'rs game. meaning you create a character that you would see as yourself. Not what or who you want to be, but who or what you thnk you would be. if you dont see yourself as holding to tradition and the laws of good (aka the bible) then don't try to make yourself a Jedi. But if you don't like hurting people or minipulating them for your own gain, don't be a Dark Jedi either.
See what i mean? Try to find the 'YOU' character. If you have a hard time you can ask me for help.

P.S. Characters will have a skills, stats, attributes, powers, etc... and will all be curved (the twilight curb)for even and fair story line. So if you are like Samus from Metroid, you can be hurt/killed by a knife wielding maniac.
* once you decide on what character you are, let me know and i'll give the "OK."
** This game is an Invite (my "OK") ONLY. Because of the complexity of the characters and keeping everything fair, I have to do this so no one will just jump in and mess things up. Thank you for understanding.

-Bryon Jenkins (Alcheimist, like the Alphonse Elric)


* I will play the part of the Entity and T.M. Everyone should start out in a part of a game and shortly describe what might be going on... to your surprise then see a portal like thing and jump in it. However this takes them to meet the Unknown Entity. Then they are transformed and informed of what is going on and they meet up with the other characters. I'll make the first post to give yall an idea. I don't mean to sound controlling or anything I am just trying to help yall get started.

Ya that works out fine. My guys isn't going to be 'Changed' until he meets with the Unknown-Entity. I am going to post the next step in the thread and yall can follow.

is it okay if I have my character attacked by some storm troopers? btw, what would they look like? The original ones, or the later ones around Luke's time? I gathered that in this star wars thingy it'd be earlier.

As long as your 'battle' is more of a you running away thing. This 'first' world is just an intermediate thing, then you find the portal that lead to Unknown. Then you exit and meet up with the others. So idk as long as it follows along the lines of my post. I like to try to give the writers (you) enough freedom to be creative and add their own uniqueness to my stories. And you will see that 'universes' like Star Wars is a difficult one to work around so I have it basically broken into Parallels. each different 'Saga' has it own universe. Like I was in KOTOR... and you might be in Jedi Academy.... my Universe takes place 3000 years before yours. So mine is just a parallel to your starwars world.

Ok, let me try to explain.

Every game, story, movie... they all have their own 'Universe.' Just as Fire Emblem and is not in the same universe as Pokemon... So Star Wars:Knight of the Old Republic is in a different universe from Star Wars: Battle Front. So you would not find any of the Characters from KOTOR in Battle Front and Vice Verse.

I Think he's trying to tell us we're both in a different universe. So Joshua and Belle may be at different locations as well.
