  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Multiple tests?

Hey!

DH and I have been TTC since April. On Tuesday, I was on day 2 of a 1200 calorie diet, and I felt more hungry than ever before--like I was going to be sick. I was also late for my period. Just in case, I took a First Response HPT, and there were TWO lines! I am soooo excited!

I've seen a lot of people talking about taking multiple tests and having them all come out positive, mixed, etc. Is it necessary to take multiple tests if you got a BFP on one?

Erin, yay!!! I'm happy for you! No, it isn't necessary to take another test once you've gotten a BFP. If I were you, I'd ask for a blood test... make sure that your levels are doubling in the right amount of time and that your progesterone is at acceptable levels, they can put you on suppositories if your levels are low. Progesterone is VERY important.

 I'm excited for you!! Don't forget about us TTCers. :)

Hey Kelly! I actually took another one this morning just to be on the safe side--for some reason I was freaking out. I was more nervous about it than that first one!

I didn't want to post over there until I was sure. I will continue to pray for all of you and to check on you--you are all the best!

LOL. With my first son I took 6 test out of disbelief! They all came back positive but one, but I figured 5 out of 6 meant I was! LOL

With this one I only took 2 (only because the box came with two) and they both came back positive. I ended up having to take 2 blood test with this one because I found out so early -- with my son I didn't have any blood test. It's always nice to have that extra assurance with the home pregnancy test to have more than one that says yes or no. LOL

I love testing! I'm thinking that in total I did 4 First Response, 4 Digitals, and probably 6 or so internet cheapies. Haha! I love seeing them come back positive. That and I had a stockpile, so why not use them. It's doubtful that we would TTC again before they expire.

Haha--that's great! I loved seeing it too. I did one left-over one--First Response (I think), and then 2 Clear Blue regular (not digital). The First Response was the best because it was the only one that STAYED positive--the other two faded after a day or so. I'm keeping it!
