  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

See nothing about free speech but radicals, threats and terrorist supporting foreigners.

Do want radicals, threatening people and terrorists supporters here?

Please list the conservative speakers who were shut down by Democrat officials.
No not by democratic officials but by democrats and never decried by democratic officials.

Link? If it wasn't the Democratic Party or Obama/Biden administration, then you don't know what you're talking about. Sounds like you're talking about students.

I might vote down somebody at a karaoke contest, but it's not on behalf of the Democrats.

You never heard of a conservative speaker being interrupted while doing a speech at a university? These are adult students and is not difficult to figure out that they are not republicans.

Here is an example.

Nope. Think again.
Pretty sure all the limitations of the constitution are contained within it's provisions. You are free to show me laws or court cases stating otherwise but telling me to "think again" is singularly unconvincing.

See nothing about free speech

Sure there is - "hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles". How can you discover "hostile attitudes" if not through speech?

but radicals,

"Radical" speech is still speech.

Some threats are protected speech, other threats aren't.

and terrorist supporting foreigners.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. See, for instance, the back-and-forth US relationship with various Islamic mujahideen groups. Or specific individuals, like the current president of Syria (Ahmed al-Sharaa).

The US has laws preventing material support for foreign terrorist organisations. However, there is a huge gulf between voicing support for a group like Hamas, and even for their terrorism, and actually providing support to them.

Do want radicals, threatening people and terrorists supporters here?

I don't want anyone threatening anybody. Anywhere.

However, I think that the US Constitution provides legal protections to speech that can be interpreted as radical, threatening or supporting of terrorism. And, I don't think that the wording of the Constitution limits that protection to US citizens. Rather, it tells the government what it can and cannot limit.

For instance. There are people out there who publicly advocate for homosexuals to be lined up and shot in the back of the head, because they believe that's God's will. I think they are radical terrorists who are threatening people. And, I don't want them threatening people and I don't agree with their speech.

But, the US Constitution protects their right to say it.

Wait, somebody was heckled? Did it look like this?

Those darn Democrats!

During an event at San Francisco State University on April 7, 2023, Riley Gaines was reportedly confronted by protesters and subsequently had to barricade herself in a room for three hours. Protesters, who opposed her views on transgender athletes in women's sports, disrupted her speaking event, chanted, stomped, and followed her after the event, making it difficult for her to be safely escorted from the premises. Campus police eventually intervened, escorting her to a room where she remained locked in while protesters were outside. She was eventually escorted out by the San Francisco Police Department, according to CNN.

The immigration laws are based on the constitution but not in the constitution. Tell me, is the law that bars people from shouting fire in a crowded theater in the constitution or how about the one that prohibits people from jokingly claim that they have a bomb at the airport?

This stuff is pretty basic brother.

From what I understand the "fire in a theater" one is not law but an example used by a judge. That said those limitations would be case law as I pointed out in my response. Now, are you actually going to detail out where these supposed limitations to speech reside in dealing with visas or no?

Not sure how this is relevant to the discussion about the Democratic Party suppressing free speech.

Most such protesters don't vote Dem because they're considered too far right.

I wonder if golf courses and private clubs are also exempt?
Exempt? Exempt?

There have always never been exemptions to immigration enforcement!
