  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

so weird...i still do not understand what happened in this film!

however, there was that one awesome scene where that woman sings "Llorando" in the theatre but it was really a tape recording. beautiful voice!

To truly figure out the movie you have to watch it more than once, and sometimes more than three times;) It is a puzzle, and all the smallest things count. I love the fact that it isn't all tied up nicely at the end.

The woman singing is Rebecca Delrio, and she said that David Lynch (the director) saw her preform that version of the song in a club, and asked if she would do it again for the movie. Yes she does have a beautiful voice! :)

Great moive, and yes it was a little odd. But so are a lot of movies and they turn out to be good. Just to name a few: Pulp Fiction and Fight Club

Yes it is one of my favorites also, and along with Fight Club, and Pulp Fiction. :)

I know people who have thought and disected MD to death, but have some interesting views and theories

I love this movie so much.

I think the scene in Club Silencio is probably my favorite scene in any movie. . . ever.

I think I understand it, more or less, but I think I enjoyed it just as much when I didn't understand it. It's just one of those movies that is so beautifully done and intriguing that the plot can be confusing without the movie being annoying. Very Kafkaesque. In fact, it'd be great to see Lynch direct a film adaptation of Kafka's "The Trial" or "The Castle."
