Muhammad claimed if he was a false prophet his aorta would be cut, he wished to die in battle. He was poisoned by a Jewish woman who offered him food, the Jewish woman wanted to test Muhammad and see if he was a prophet.
Later as the poison worked its way, Muhammad said to his wife that he feels the poison cutting his aorta, and he later passed away. All found in the Quran and Hadiths written by scholars.
