If you have 3 eyes, plastic surgery might be the route for you. If you have a serious accident its ok as well. The rest is just vanity.

I totally do not want to start an arguement, but urban, how could you say such a thing? you are perfect in God's eyes, and he should be the only one that matters. You don't have to answer to all these other people when you die, just him. A doctor sure can help your self-esteem out a awhile, but what will happen when you, and I don't mean to offend anyone, get older? are you going to have more surgery to look normal?

I don't think surgury is sinful. Unless you go overboard and end up looking distorted cause you had too much surgury, or if you want to look like a famous person. But if y ou want to enhance your individual look with one surgury and have the means, then I don't see anything wrong with it. Some people were born heavy, but i've never heard anyone say that it's sinful to lose weight, b/c that's the way God made them. So if there's one feature that's really bugging you and causing emotional pain, then I don't see anything wrong with a positive change that is going to help you have more confidence. The only reserve i'd have is that surgury is always a risk.

Noboby was born fat, that is a different story. Vanity is a sin, and if you are that concerned with how you look than I suggest a very comprehensive personal inventory.

wow, tell that to a heavy person. You know some people (women especially) can be bothered by their looks, and it's important to be understanding and compassionate to that. It's not a sin to want to look nice, unless it consumes your life or you put it before Jesus. It's about having a healthy perspective. And I think that if someone can get surgury to fix a noticable problem with a feature to make them feel normal so they don't have to worry about people making fun of them or hurting them, then it's not such a bad thing. When I think of vainity, I think of people that already look good and know it and are consumed with flaunting themselfs. JMO Anyways I'm glad that Jesus is there for everyone no matter what we look like, or no matter what we don't like about ourself.

Looks is not the only motivation to lose weight than just looks though...health plays a role too. Of course, on the other hand...many of the woman (an men) who either have an eating disorder or who are obsessed with dieting or losing weight are probably not even technically overweight. It's just that society has warped their perception of what "overweight" actually is.

yeah i want a Famous Face on mtv. is a Disgusting and sad show. What ever haven't to people being themselfs? and stop trying to be people that thier not and molding themselfs into Societys image and ways with looking like Celebs etc... i find it real sad. all thoses People are fine just the way they are with how they look. but society says you gotta be Top Top Notch Pretty for people to like you.

I've watched the show a couple of times. I really feel sorry for the people on that show. It's one thing to have plastic surgery to improve your looks. It's another thing to have it so that you can look like someone that you are obviously obsessed with.

You know, there's a pattern with every show I just noticed.

They all start off with how obsessed they are with whatever star they want to look like, but when they get into the doctor's office they act like they randomly flipped through a magazine and found a picture that just so happened to be of brad pitt or madonna or whoever, and like how the way the nose or breasts or whatever look. They never say "I want to look like so and so" when they get with the doctor. They say "I want a rounder chin like so and so"

Some people it makes a LITTLE sense. Like celebrity impersonators. Others...well..you've got to think-there are enough of these people out there to make a television series.
