My family lost many friends to this horror - it is my responsibility to bring it up, part of my "inheritance" so to speak.

There is a view that it would undermine our relationship with Turkey.
OTOH, this is a matter of living our Christian convictions as well as human rights, and correct history. To this day, Christians are second class citizens and are persecuted in Turkey.

I didn't vote the way you liked. However, many Armenians were indeed killed by the Turks in what I would describe as genocide.

OK, if the Orthodox says it is genocide that is good enough for me~you folks haven't ever told me anything wrong before, and it appears to be a consensus amongst the EO..thanks for the info links!

The pics from the wiki article reminds me of the Nazi atrocities~just finished watching episode 3 & 4 of Holocaust this evening too...
