Moving to Knoxville

Anybody from Knoxville, TN?

I just took a new job there and don't know anyone in the area (moving from Dayton, OH). I will be moving soon and am quite nervous (and excited) about it. I really think I will love the area so it should be a fun, new adventure!

Any recommendations for fun things to do around there with a 4 year old? What about any good fishing spots? My daughter loves her pink princess fishing pole, so I need to find some good spots for us to go!

Nearby Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountains can be fun to visit. Dine at the Apple Barn in Sevierville; for dessert, have apple crumble at the Creamery in the Apple Barn complex.
