CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One that comes to mind at the moment is in Sleepy Hollow. I love the movie (and Johnny Depp for that matter..lol) but during the scene when I think it is Johnathon Masbeth has had his head chopped off, and they are in the woods. When Depp goes to use some of his chemicals and that to test for blood or whatever, and he pulls that rack out of the doctor type bag. Look at the bottles on that little rack. One second there at three, then four, then three then four again (i think). All I know is that the number of bottles changes as well as placement, not because of Depp taking a bottle out... Sorry I tried to describe it as best as possible, sorry if it sounds confusing..

Lando smacks his head on the ceiling when he makes his first appearance in ROTJ. Another good one is in Return of the King, Gandalf's beard goes from fluffly to scraggly to fluffy again in the same scene when he's first talking to denethor.

In Spider-Man, when Peter is squirting all these webs all over his room, he accidentally breaks his lamp in the process. Aunt May knocks on the door and he opens it and talks to her. While this is happening, the camera zooms in so you can't see the spot where the lamp was. When their done talking, the camera zooms out, and the lamp is in the same spot it was and is completely unbroken. That's my favorite movie goof!

In the newest version of Freaky Friday (I got it for my girlfriend for Christmas last year), they take the door off of the hinges in Lindsey Lohan's room. Then, after they change characters, you see her run through the house and the door is still on the hinges. Later on, it's off again.
In Cassablanca, when Rick is standing on the railway platform in the pouring rain reading the note from Elsa, he's soaking wet. Cut to the next scene, both Rick and Sam are dry.

In Raider's of the Lost Ark there is a scene where Indiana Jones is in this pit trying to keep a bunch of snakes away from him. If you look carefully enough you can see a reflection...it betrays the fact that a glass panel was used to keep the snakes away from Harrison Ford (who can blame them??)

Here are a few:
Grease : when the waitess is turning out the light when she is talking to Frenchie she uses her elbow to hit the switch only her elbow never touches the switch and the lights go out anyway.
Smokey and the Bandit : there are so many mistakes in this movie its hard to count, one is in the first part right after they leave and you see the trans am coming down the road with two people in the front but he hasn't picked up frog yet..........when frog is changing out of her wedding dress she throws the head thingy out twice...........in the scene where Bo gives Frog her handle and they are running down the side of the road hitting mail boxes she starts out bent over the back of the seat but when it switches frames to the outside of the car she is sitting down then when it goes back to inside the car she is over the seat again.......when when the bandit and snowman are picking up the beer and he runs into the boxes with the fork lift you can see the boxes are empty.........there are so many in that movie you wouldn't believe.
Dirty Dancing: this movie has a lot of blunders, like when he is teaching her to dance ......all those times she messed up those are really bloopers that they thought were funny and left them in the movie.........now for the mistake ...in the famous scene where they are lip singing ...oh silvia yes mickie.......after the managers grandson comes in and is talking to johnny you see johnny put the records away ......it changes views to show the reflection of johnny in the mirror and you see him put the records away again. there are a few more in this movie but i can't think of them right now.
My Girl : when the kids are fishing and they catch a fish the little boy is trying to get the fish off the hook ...if you watch you will see the fish was never on the hook the hook is laying beside the fish before he ever trys to get it off.

My favourite is towards the end of Runaway Bride, where Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are on the balcony at his apartment. In a couple of scenes, you can actually see the script he is reading off of. I'm serious, check it out and you'll see for yourselves. It's hilarious!

In Legally Blonde, there is one that I found. In the scene directly after Victor Garber's character makes a pass at Reese Witherspoon...you can see if you look closely enough. Reese is walking briskly towards the elevator, and the camera is in the elevator, so you can see Selma Blair's reflection in a gold plate on the wall just standing there waiting for her cue to come after Reese.
Also, in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, right before Harry and Ron come barging into Lockhart's office, you can see him waiting for his cue to start throwing things into the suitcase in one of his mirrors. Reflections are bad...heehee!

In The Punisher when Frank's wife is running from the bad guys in the s-10 blazer it flips over. Well you can see there is no gas tank, actually the truck is sitting on its side so you see it also when Frank comes running. There is another car in the movie like that.
Another movie goof is the gun that the Joker has in Batman. He pulls out this gun with a huge barrel, but you can tell it has a .22 lr type cylinder.
In Commando Arnold is mowing down the bad guys with some belt fed machine gun. Well the scene cuts away a few times and you can see the belt get longer and shorter(shorter would be ok, but not the back and forth length).
Not strictly a movie goof, but there is a poster with Sly Stallone from the movie Rambo II. He has the belt fed machine gun(an m60 I believe) as required of all action movie heros by law. Well the poster is a wonderfull idea, with a nice action pose and as also required by law the action hero grimace. Looks great, except when you look at the ammo belt, it is blanks.

There's one in Rain Man where Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise are in a restaurant having breakfast. If you pay attention, the salt shaker, napkin holder and stuff in the middle of the table keep on switching places. This happens before rain man counts the toothpicks that fall out of the box. 82, 82, 82. - There's 4 left in the box.
The Abyss has a ton, from the shadow of the camera men running down the corridors with the actors, to people sitting in little holes while Lindsey is in the underwater submersible. Honestly, there's too many to list for this movie.
You guys ever catch the speed boat in the background in the movie Maverick? Or how about the kid standing in the curtains in the movie Three Men and a Baby? There were rumors about it being a ghost or being a card board cut out of a boy, most likely the kid from ET (who knows). We don't have the movie anymore, but the scene is still there.

In the Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, in the scene where Frodo and Sam are in a cellar or something while Faramir is trying to take Frodo's Ring, you will see barrels behind the hobbits. The scene goes to Faramir, then back to Frodo..... and the barrels are gone.
In the Two Towers in the scene where Pippin is about to be trampled by a horse when he and Merry are captured by the Orcs, Pippin's hands are tied. Then, when the horse is right above him, his hands are untied and flailing. Then he rolls over and his hands are tied again....I think in a multi million dollar movie the editors could have noticed that!

In "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" After Mama dies, when Leonardo DiCaprio is in the room thinking she is asleep and is trying to wake her up (i.e. by screaming in her ear) if you pay close attention you can see her chest move as it does when you breathe, so basically you see her breathe.

lol... i'd say that's on purpose... that movie IS a mistake (and a grand mistake it is!). mind you... in the cave where they get chased by the cartoon monster, it is obvious that sir robin is hiding his face because the actor is the monk. he holds the sheild way over his face and you can tell by his eyes anyway. not really a mistake.. there's not much else they could have done...
