If you had paid attention at school you would have learned about literary analysis and how hard it is to pin down the exact meaning of a text especially when we deal with a translation of a translation of written down hearsay and we don't have the original documents or the author.

That's the thing...I can only compare my interpretation to yours but in the end we cannot know who has thr right one unless we get the author to tell us what his intention was.
Why do you think we have over a thousand different denominations? The bible is a big book and has plenty of different possible interpretations on most passages.
