Hello, I'm Natalia, from Brazil
I consider myself a atheist person, but when i got in here i felt like a sinner, i like metal music, masturbation, i believe in the evolution and the big bang theory and i don't think in suck thing as a superior force (like god)
Im I living in sin? What should I do?

Alright, here we go.

1) Masturbation is tricky. Jesus said you can't look at people lustfully and then spoke of chopping off your right hand. So no more pron, but you can still touch and try to imagine as vaguely as possible. Also Job said he did not kiss his hand. Try not to touch, especially excessively. It's even more dangerous for a man though, as it affects his performance. I'm recovering from this misconception myself. "As a man thinketh, so he is."

Matter fought against anti-matter and matter just barely won, but went on to become the fabric of the universe. "God created the light and separated the light from the darkness."

4) We are all living in sin. sin is our very nature. Jesus died to free us from sin. His law is "love one another." and "Love God with all your heart, soul, might, and mind." In other words God showed ultimate love by dieing for your sins so you could be saved, now doesn't that touch your heart? You, in turn, are expected to become a new creature and endeavor to avoid sin. You also need to be baptized. Ever Since God promised not to destroy the world with a massive flood holy water has become sacred. In addition to this, you should also seek the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Even Jesus needed this before he did miracles. It is well documented in scripture, yet many churches oppose it or have forgotten about it.

5) Evolution has been proven wrong. Charles Darwin has been proven wrong. God has been proven right.

Hi Natalia,

I am glad you have found your way to this website, there is a vast range of beliefs represented here. I hope to see you reveal some of your own thoughts about why you think God might have given us life here (understanding that you haven't decided to believe this, yet the concept is familiar enough to think about), why Jesus might have been willing to let people kill Him because they didn't like what He said, and most importantly, what you actually think about what He said.

Because, when you come to investigate the matter of Christianity, basically you are choosing to believe that Jesus is the one sent by God to show us what sin is and how to please the one who made us, or you can decide that Jesus was wrong, and essentially depending what decision you make about this, you will go on through life searching and adopting evidence that supports your belief. So I understand you have already made a decision about this, by presuming that God isn't real and therefore that Jesus isn't really the son of God. But I see that belief as being founded on a lack of information, what I'm interested in seeing is whether you are prepared to scratch below the surface and really find out why you believe what you believe, and whether you would change your mind when you discover the reality of the message that Jesus came to tell us.

Also, I think since you are not a Christian, you should be posting in the Outreach forums, I would even suspect this post should be moved to the "Exploring Christianity" forum where a non-Christian can discuss these things with Christians. This "Edification" forum is for people who are new believers to discuss what is happening in their faith and get help to understand how to grow their understanding of Jesus. You can still read these threads, but rules say that non-Christians are to post elsewhere.

So then, can we begin investigating your beliefs about Jesus, have you read anything Jesus has said? Is there something He has said that you have difficulty understanding? How much have you been told about Christianity (this is important - you have to learn to think for yourself, and part of that means to understand that what someone else tells you is not always the same as what Jesus tells you).

For what it's worth, neither the theory of evolution nor the idea of the big bang are contrary to Christian faith.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Creationism is one position some Christian have, it's not the official or majority position.

It is good that you realize you are a sinner, but the things you believe and do may not be that different from most Christians. The problem is: you do not believing in a creator (how He did it does not matter).

You have been miss lead in several ways, so please open your heart to a new way of thinking.

God is not trying to “get you to do something” put is trying to give you something and that something is the greatest power in all universes!

You, like most people, fight to avoid accepting God’s gift, because the gift is pure Charity (unconditional, sacrificial on God’s part, and you are totally undeserving of such a huge gift). Humans do not like to take charity especially when the giver made a huge sacrifice to give the gift (there is a good reason behind this), but that is the only way the exchange can take place (accepting Charity).

God has done and is doing everything He can to help you accept His gift (and that everything includes allowing: Christ to go to the cross, satan to roam the earth, tragedies of all kind, people to go to hell, and even allows you to sin).

Godly type Love is what compels God to do all He does, compelled Christ to do all he did and can compel you to do everything, so how do you get such Love?

The Bible has examples of people and Christ/God with this Love, but you may not have seen/experienced it firsthand eyeball to eyeball in a Christ like person standing by you (this is the way to really know God’s Love and not just read about it). Do you really want this Love?

The only initial way to get this Love is through truly accepting God’s forgiveness (which is mercy/grace/charity/Love). God is right next to you wanting to hug you (like the Father in the story of the prodigal son), but you have to just turn to Him (like the prodigal son did).

You have been an enemy of God by sinning, but that is alright and sin is not the problem, (unforgiven sin can be a huge problem) since God is trying to forgive you if you will just accept.

The reason you do Love much is because you have not truly accepted God’s forgiveness as Charity (the way it is given) for if you had you would Love much ( Christ [and society] teaches “…he that is forgiven much will Love much…&#8221 it is automatic (but do not think you are paying back to God some loan or He expects anything from you [that would not be accepting charity]). You are to do what you want to do, but with this new found “Love” what do you really want to do?

The Holy Sprit convicts us of sin, the righteousness of Jesus Christ and the judgement to come.

Seems like God is trying to attract your attention.

If you are serious about knowing what to do; I suggest;
- fasting for a day (water)
- pray as much as you can asking God to show you what to do, to convict you further of what He expects of you, to show you the way forward...to reveal his plan for your life...

Dont worry about doctrine and other stuff.....god will deal with these things in due course....the most important thing is to find out what He wants to do next with your life....
