I have always had a strong faith and in my adolescence at most times believed I was a Christian. Sadly though I was not. It was only in my late twenties that I learnt about the importance of deeds. I would like to take this opportunity to ask whoever is reading this to consider your deeds. Are you for example spreading the good news of the gospel? Are you loving the Lord your God with all your heart? Are you loving your neighbour? What acts of kindness? Are you complying with the ten commandments? Can you claim you are a true Christian?
Faith without deeds is dead!
Since the time I came to know of the importance of deeds - which by the way was as a result of a passionate fellow Christian spreading the message - Jesus has revealed much more of Himself to me and my life has moved on from strength to strength.
The deeds that need to accompany ones faith is by no way limited to what I have written above. Those more learned out there please weigh in with other forms of deeds we should be adding to our faith. The world is a troubled place and there is plenty of lost sheep out there...
