When you read the title of this thread, you might immediately think of spiritualizing this into "Big problems and little problems." That is not a bad application, but that is not what I have in mind this morning. Yesterday at church "Pastor" spoke of driving on the 15 fwy and appreciating the beauty of the mountains he was seeing. As I was reading Psalm 65:6 this morning I came across these words: "Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power." V. 12 says "...and the little hills rejoice on every side." What good reminders the mountains and the hills can be for us who see them often; of God, His power, and the joy He would have us have. Some people that live far from mountains may have a picture of mountains in their home. May we set our minds to remember to use these reminders to take our thoughts to God.

I immediately thought about the flood waters covering the mountains to a depth of 15 cubits (or was that just the high hills?).
Genesis 7:19-20 says "high hills" but we know that the mountains (plural) of Ararat were covered, not just because scripture says so, but because remains of sea life have been found all around the top of them. It was a world-wide flood, for which there is evidence world-wide.

Hills and mountains remind me that we all have ups and downs in our spiritual journey. The climb is difficult but the fall is worse. The higher I get, the harder the fall so I hang on tighter as I go.
This is a duplicate post.

Most people don't fall after the climb; they carefully descend. We can do this spiritually as well. Have the mountaintop experience and then prepare to reenter the valley below, realizing that is where the battle takes place, and that is where we do most of our growing. Not much grows on the highest mountain top.
