  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ummm..what's a pressie?

My first Mother's Day we were so dirt poor that my husband couldn't even afford a flower. It kinda bugged me because I had wanted to be a mom for so long, and I felt disappointed. Then on that Sunday, one in which father, son, and mommy me were all sick, my son toddled into the bathroom and brought me the plunger. He was so proud to be carrying it like a big boy, my precious angel not yet one year old. He gave me that plunger like it was the queen's royal jewels and I was so overcome with thankfulness for the greatest gift I have ever gotten...my beautiful son.

Pressies are indeed presents!! :)

My little darlings worked hard and my son (5) gave me a beautiful card he'd made all himself, with tissue paper flowers - it was lovely :)

My daughter (20 months) gave me a little decorated plant pot with a pansy potted in it. She had some help from the ladies at nursery obviously! The pot also had a little photo of her when she was decorating it on it - really nice touch.

The presents that they put so much effort mean alot - whether they are truly works of art or not.

I need a proud looking smiley!! :)
