I just found out that my adopted dd are biological cousins. We adopted our oldest dd in 2001 and our youngest 2 in 2006 from over 250 miles away. We were informed tonight that they are cousins, and no one knew it. It seems that the biological grandmother of our oldest dd and the biological grandfather of the youngest 2 are in fact brother and sister. While at a family function in the hometown of the two grandparents 250 miles away in Southern Md the two were comparing photos, that we send annually they spotted one anothers grandchildren in the little brag book of the grandfather. The grandmother let them know that in fact our oldest dd was her granddaughter and he said that the two younest were his granddaughters. The strangest thing is that both biological mothers are very ill and dying.Never in a million years did I think that these girls were some how related.
But what is stranger yet Is that last week when the girls were arguing I told them that they must be blood relatives because they act so much alike.
I am completly flabbergasted by this anyone else ever have a situation like this happen.
