Most overrated Anime?

What do you think the most overrated animes are? There are alot.

Too me i think Trigun is overrated. I also think Naruto and Inuyasha are overrated. Don't get me wrong I love Naruto and Trigun. I just think they're way to mainstream and everyone likes them. I actually hate Inu Yasha but i won't get into that. oh and see Narutard

It's no secret that I think that Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed are overrated. They disperse the message of the original series while adding very little original but rather throwing around concepts already present in the Universal Century series in ways that are not particularly inspired. I especially do not like their tendency towards diatribes.

Gundam Wing was way over-rated and the main character was messed up in the head.

I tend to watch anime that is under-rated.

I just started to get into Ghost In The Shell! I thinks its one of the best out there, but thats just my opinion...

mainstream isnt always a bad thing... like Naruto is popular cause it's just That good, but if your not into ninjas it's not for you.

I went to animazement this past year...all the dealers were selling tons of Naruto **** and every kid and their grandma was dressed up as someone from Naruto...I had no problem yelling "This is worse then Pokemon! >_<!"

I was dressed as Tetsuo, from Akira.

Akira, InuYasha, YuYu Hakusho, all Gundams except for Wing and the original, nearly everything they show on tv except Ghost in the shell, Big O, Full Metal Alchemist, Super Milk Chan Show.

Rurouni Kenshin is overrated, Gungrave is overrated, Vampire Hunter D is overrated.



Neon Genesis Evangelion is overrated, but only because people give it more credit that its due. I love it...but yeah.

I think that what's overrated is how much Adult Swim/Cartoon Network fans think they know about anime, only to have it trounced by someone more knowledgable. There is no excuse for noobishness, even if you are a noob...

Sorry, that's comin' off my experience from several arenas. As to actual series, most of the ones I could blatently point out as overrated are usually overrated either within the experienced anime community, or stopped playing on American TV a few years ago. Either that or I just lost interest in them a few years ago and haven't bothered about it since, although I do get quite a bit ticked off by Naruto, I don't know why. About the only priceless thing I've seen related to that series was the Ninja Rap/Naruto segment from AMV Hell.
