Thank you for this razeontherock...It is rare that I get affirmation here on CF. So I thank you for this one.

You still didn't answer the question in my first post. Do you believe in 'eternal security' for the believer? It may seem a mute point to answer, but I am still curious.

You are so right about that. But at least you 'said it in the right spirit' which is just about as important as what you say 'being right' IMO. That comment will draw fire too if the right/wrong person sees it. Doggone legalists anyway. I always say; "I'd rather walk it right and talk it wrong, than to talk it right and walk it wrong." Walking will reveal character, and character is what God's looking for most IMO.

What does the Bible say? Obviously it says things that can be taken both ways,

just like I've seen the pre, mid, and post trib position supported - as well as no rapture at all. My position is I want to be on the first truckload, found to be worthy to escape the Judgment that is to come, and be told enter into rest His good and faithful servant.

And I personally went from pre to no rapture at all. So was I wrong and now I'm right or was I right and now I'm wrong???? Who really knows. BUT, if there is a rapture and I don't believe in it, will God leave me behind? I think not. On the other hand, if there isn't a rapture...how many 'fire insurance' believers are pursuing God hard enough now, to go through it as an 'overcomer'? So I'm happy to 'error' on the side of no rapture.

My position is Jesus is Lord, and all Judgment is given unto the Son. My position is no part of Christianity involves telling others they're going to hell, that's not witnessing or evangelizing, but our relationship with Him is paramount.

You don't tell people they're going to HELL??? Why, that's equivalent to Paul writing most of the NT and never mentioning the word 'hell' at all...CAN THAT BE RIGHT!?!?!?

OSAS in Scipture:

1 Tim 1:19 "Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck"

"I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 1 Cor 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."

Yes I'm aware of John 10:29, " no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand."

Yep, scriptures for and against. That's why there are two very big camps with lots of 'very smart' people in both. Me...I believe that both camps are half right...and also therefore...half wrong. My theology has a believe that incorporates both. So I consider myself all right.

But I didn't mention OSAS for the purpose of debate with you. I was just wondering if you were a OSAS person who just put the "mortal sin" scriptures in a bag with the top tied shut so you never had to look/deal with them. BTW, what do you do with John 10:29?

In the choir for sure...just a long way from the mike...something about sounding like a mule braying in a tin barn...nah that's just me kidding. But many here do seem to think that's true of my theology. But hey, I have studied theirs...therefore the tag line. I didn't start out unorthodox...I grew that way.

John 10:29 seems easy to me. There you have the whole gamut from peer pressure to martyrdom. No man can pluck you out of your Father's hand, but you can still willingly walk away. Against His every effort. And He is an incredibly Good Shepherd!

A good shepherd indeed...and one who is well able to find 'lost' sheep who 'willingly walked away'...after all 'lost is lost' and willingly or unwillingly is irrelevant. And that 'point of belief' is the secret completion of my username "tag line"...One for Him...and Him for all.

Not at all, not at all. On the contrary, I'm definitely believe that God gives us different truths every time we study his word, even if it's not there in black and white and I believe this to be the case. And thank you for those verses, they'll definitely prove helpful in my study of this topic

All I did was put scriptures in your head. Now you need to let Him illuminate them in your heart.

1JO 2:27 but the anointing which you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that any one should teach you; as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, abide in him.
