Mormonism says there are many Gods and that you can become one, they say Jesus and satan are brothers, they say Jesus did NOT make atonement on the cross. They say God the father was once a MAN who had to EARN His way to become a God. They say you must learn secret handshakes and passwords and wear special underwear in order to live with God the father when you die. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that all human beings, male and female, are beloved spirit children of heavenly parents, a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. In no way can mormonism be classed as "Christian"

Actual LDS person clarifying actual LDS beliefs--
Mormonism says there are many Gods
That there more than one divine person (Father, Son...) whom together are ONE God, though they are sometimes refereed to in purell, such as in Genesis.
that you can become one
A child of God in indeed a joint-heir with Christ.
they say Jesus and satan are brothers
The Father is the Father of all. There is no other Father. People who share a Father are called siblings, doesn't mean anything about anyone being automatically anything else as demo stated thoroughly in the Bible.
they say Jesus did NOT make atonement on the cross.
Not just the cross, but started with the intercessory prayer.
They say God the father was once a MAN
Non-doctrinal speculation not actually discussed in LDS church and any LDS person is free to completely disagree and be 100% in good standing.
who had to EARN His way to become a God.
False.
They say you must learn secret handshakes and passwords and wear special underwear in order to live with God the father when you die.
Incorrect and offensive misrepresentation.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that all human beings, male and female, are beloved spirit children of heavenly parents, a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother.
Genesis 1:27: God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
In no way can mormonism be classed as "Christian"
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are indeed Christians whom honor Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, without whom none shall be saved. We love Him and follow Him, and are His disciples, which is what it is to be a Christian.

While I agree that Mormonism is in no way a type of Christianity, I would also point out that this forum is here for debate, so these statements might be better phrased as questions so as to invite Mormons to respond/clarify how these things are supposed to be understood, rather than as a series of declarative proclamations. That doesn't mean you have to agree with what the Mormons tell you, but you should attempt to listen to them, just as you'd like them to listen to you. That's the essence of having a conversation, rather than standing on a soap box and haranguing people.

Citations/reasons for believing that this is what they teach wouldn't hurt, either.

Some of them now acknowledge their own scripture:

1 Nephi 11
33 And I, Nephi, saw that he was lifted up upon the cross and slain for the sins of the world.

But eternal life still has to be earned. Salvation depends on man's will and obedience.
