Last night's show was one I was looking forward to, though I would really have liked to have seen a Muslim man with a Jewish family or vise versa. Dave was a very endearing choice for the person to spend the 30 days though.

One thought, and I think it's odd that an atheist had this thought and not the Christian or Muslim, but when Dave was doing his prayers, ostensibly to Allah, that he didn't conceptualize his prayers going to the Godhead thereby staying true to his Trinitarian beliefs, but praying to a single deity.

Well, maybe that's just me, but that was my immediate thought about his consternation over the prayer pillar.

I've never seen Supersize Me, and this was my first 30 Days episode, but Morgan Spurlock is a master documentarian.

I already had a problem with how Spurlock did his documentary because I knew he didn't drink any water for those 30 days but only soft drinks at McDonald's. I think eating at Mc Donald's was part of the problem but dehydration from only drinking 3 times a day and only drinking soft drinks for 30 days probably is more responsible for the health problems he had. I recently learned that he kept no record of what he ate he admits he supersized all 90 meals he ate even though he was only asked if he wanted to supersize his meal 9 times. The fact he kept no journal of things he ate makes me strongly question how he did this documentary.

After hearing of his documentary a woman who trains animals for a living decided to do the same documentary herself showing what happens if you make good decisions at fast food places. Her documentary involved eating only at McDonald's for 60 days and during that time she had no health problems and she lost 20 lbs. She decided to show that nothing changed after she finished the project so she only ate at McDonald's for 90 days even though the documentary only covered the first 60 days. After 90 days she lost 30lbs.

I missed the episode on religion but I saw part of the one on living on minimum wage. The tv series looks like it's well done.

didn't see super size me but i've seen every episode of 30 days so far

I only saw the Christian Dave lives as a Muslim for 30 days one last night. What did you think of the others?

Nikoel, what did you think of the 30 days on Minimum Wage episode?

I'll be honest, my comfort zone is not really all that comfortable, but when I watch people step outside of theirs (when it's clearly more comfortable than mine), I find it really compelling viewing.

I just wish my cable complany didn't split the reception making me set my box/TV differently in order to record shows on FX. (A/B side cable for those of you with "good" cable providers)

I really like the show. I think it's very well done and a really refreshing concept for reality TV...actual reality, imagine that.

We watched Supersize Me and found it very compelling (downright scary is a better term). And we were excited to see Murgan Spurlock's idea for a TV show. I really liked the Minimum Wage episode...wow, an eye opener.

The Muslum show was interesting, too. The things that struck me about that one were the bad attitude of that first spiritual advisor that he had, and also the devotion they all (the Muslum families) give to their spiritual beliefs. We could all probably learn a thing or two from that...

Anyway, I love the show. I hope it doesn't get cut...

I tuned into FOX (yes FOX) in hopes of seeing the show, but I guess FX and FOX are 2 different channels, which is retarded when you only get TV with a set of anntennas.

Trust me, if you had cable it would only be worse. There's been several things on Bravo, BBC America, etc. that I would "could" have seen should Comcast decide the include them in my package. Worse yet, they too AMC off the package I get, put it on a more expensive one, and replaced it with an insipid vidio game based channel.

I'm glad that FX (much like PBS does with it's POV series) is willing to give indepentant documentarians a chance to get their quality work broadcast, even if not everyone can get FX or other channels.
