More women’s volleyball teams have forfeited matches against San Jose State University because the California school has allowed a male athlete to compete on its women's team.

The University of Wyoming women’s volleyball team will forfeit its game against SJSU, which was scheduled for Saturday, Multiple news outlets have reported that the decision to forfeit was made because the male athlete, Blaire Fleming, would be playing for San Jose. Fleming, a man, identifies as a woman.

“After a lengthy discussion, the University of Wyoming will not play its scheduled conference match against San José State University in the UniWyo Sports Complex on Saturday, Oct. 5,” Nick Seeman, UW’s assistant athletic director, said in a statement on Tuesday, as quoted by WyoFile.

It is most shameful that biological males are competing in women's sports. This is a travesty of morals and culture because of the progressive left wing liberals allegiance to the transgenderism agenda.

Maybe with all of those forfeit victories the San Jose State team can win a title or something. Wouldn't that show the world how sensitive and caring this world has become? Or how insane?

It’s creepy.

Men are men.

Women are women.

Period.

This article reflects a good trend though. If more schools would step up and refuse to play, the whole trend would die as unworkable.
Yup. But it means taking a loss to send the message.

Sometimes, that unfortunately needs to happen. Especially considering how crazy this whole trans nonsense has come so far.

It's sad, really.

It looks like it is a Christian school that refused to play with the team having a trans player. So, I guess they were playing in a secular league . . . which could also have lesbians on their teams.

So, do they primarily object to the transgender person, on moral grounds; or do they object to the player being unfair competition?? I suppose a very superior player . . . male or female . . . could be dangerous to lesser players who were trying to block a superior player at the net and could get knocked backwards onto the floor.

If they are principally about the moral issue, then there is also an issue of if they want to play against a lesbian or fornicator.

What if the trans player was not a better player than the others? What is the real issue, then? If it is truly moral, we have lesbians and fornicators and bisexuals who also are a moral issue.

What matters the most to God? Prayer, with hope for deeply ruined people. Competition to be better than somebody else and to get more praise and fame . . . might not be so much of a priority.

So, we can make good use of whatever happens.

What does someone's sexual orientation have to do with sports and how they can play? Unless you think lesbians are more manly and should be men....if you want to go down that route.

I offer I understand what you are saying.

My point is that if ones object to playing against a man, on moral belief grounds, then they also could have moral belief reasons for objecting to play against lesbians, fornicators, and bisexuals.

But in case they object to playing a trans person for other than moral grounds, then orientation would have nothing to do with it.

I suppose there can be trans players who are not much stronger and better players than the females; in such a case, there would be no reason of fairness and physical safety, for refusing to play a team with a trans person.

So, I am curious if the Christian school objected on grounds of safety and fairness of competition, or on moral grounds, or both.

Ah, thanks for your response.

Plenty of straight people, who I'm sure were in college and on sports team, also had sex outside of marriage.

That's fair.

According to what I have just read >

It now seems there are even secular institutions which prohibit trans men from competing on genetically female teams. So, to me it seems that even certain secular people are concerned about safety and fairness of having women compete against trans players.

So . . . about the Vermont school > the media seemed to present one statement that the coach was concerned about fairness and safety. But, in the legal haggling about it, it looks like there was an amount of discussion about the school's right to hold to their religious beliefs which include, that trans stuff is against how God made man in His image - - if I get what they meant right.

But it seems a lawyer for the school argued that the school was still getting money from the government for students at the school . . . even though getting secular money can require a school not to religiously discriminate against trans people, I think they are saying. And therefore, the legal people argued, if the school had beliefs against transgender stuff but they still could get government money, then it was wrong to shut down the school's playing in the league because of the school having beliefs against trans stuff.

But, in case the coach's reason was for safety, then there was no need to bring in religious issues.

And in case the main reason for banning the school was in order to make trans people feel welcome and included . . . safety is not an issue, for the ones doing the banning. And in case religion really has nothing to do with it . . . I suppose you can play the game but stay away from the trans person if he is dangerously stronger than your players. Just keep knocking the ball away from him and if he gets set up, bluff to block him but duck . . . somewhat the same as professional players might avoid the much better players on the other team.

But if the real reason is religious and moral . . . then perhaps you also need to make a statement by refusing to play with lesbians and bisexuals and fornicators. And, the school did sign an agreement not to discriminate on grounds of sexual orientation and transing, if I read correctly. So, possibly it would be fair to not win your way into a playoff slot and then dump it, when another team would like to be in that playoff spot.

Its actually a travesty of reality itself. Of biological reality as a category. As the commentator said the Left is more or less pushing mental illness and sexual perversion with this.
