Renee wakes up and reaches for her husband but doesn't find him. She opens her eyes to find him dressed in casual wear. Goin' to construction again honey?? "Yeah, I'm also are gonna be with Joe and Clevland for lunch today" "I also think, the boss may lay some of us off". Renee was actually up now. She put a hand to his shoulder and says "God'll provide a way".
"Yeah," he sighed. "Well, I'm gonna get out of here." Michael leaned over and kissed her cheek gently and walked out. He checked on little Alex who was still sleeping. He touched his forhead and noticed him having a slight fever.
"Honey, Alex has a fever". Michael said from the baby's room. "Thats strange, we covered him up as best we could. she said coming over to him. "How could that be"? "Look, I'll deal with this, you've got work." She said this with a serious look on her face. "But I.." "Michael, go, don't worry about things here. "
Michael nods and heads out. He gets into his car and gets on the road. He prays over the little one. He tried to concentrate on the road but his mind kept drifting back to his son. He began to pray
"Dear God, I ask of you to heal my son". "You promised us that by your stripes, we are healed" "I'm not gonna worry about this anymore, I cast this over to you". Thanks. Amen
He was driving on the street when he heard "We Don't Care" being played loudly by the car next to him. A smirk formed on Michael's face as he thought "
"I can get Loud too!!" He plays "Again I Say Rejoice", loud right when the guitar solo comes on. The guy next to him in the passenger seat smiles at him. "You tryin' to challenge us"?? "You'd lose anyway" Michael says chuckling as he drives off.
He arrives in front of the construction site. He gets out. The site was an old warehouse that was in front of another building. You could never really see it, passing buy. Michael walks passed "Geno's" to head to the back. He could hear the clanking of machinery and various shouts of the workers. He noticed his friend Joe Miller walking up to him. "Hey man," Joe said.
Michael replied with a low "Hey" and a nod as they began to walk. "I've heard that the boss is gonna let some people go...inflation he says" Joe says. "No, its those bills, I mean have you seen how much it takes to run the business!" "See, thats what happens when God isn't in you." Joe gives Michael a serious look, indicating that he didn't want to hear anything about God. "Alright, alright". "Yeah," Joe said. "So how your wife, has she had the baby yet"?? "Yeah, she has, thats where I was all night." "I'm just here to see if the boss has anything for me to do." Joe nods. "Where's Cleveland"?? Michael asks. "He said he'd be here". "Okay" he says. "I'm gonna go and see what the boss wants".
Michael leaves Joe and goes to the far back. He walks into one of the old warehouses. He knocks on a door. "Boss"?? he starts to yell. He walks around to the back room and notices some stairs leading up. Michael walks up the stairs. He gets to the top and noticed no one there.
"Hmm...wonder where he is"?
He then ran downstairs and went to the front desk to sign in.
"I might as well sign in, just to let him know that I was here" he thought. He then approached the door as his cell phone rang. "Hello"?? "Honey"?? Renee's voice came in sadly. "Sweetie, whats wrong"? "There is something wrong with the baby." "What's wrong"?? "I'll tell you at the hospital, just get here" "I'm on my way." Michael said. He rushed out the room and to his car. He was stopped by Joe. "Listen, I REALLY need to go right now, somethings wrong with my son" "Okay, I'll be around" "Thanks Joe" Michael said.
He speeds over to Rush Memorial. He bursts through the doors looking for his wife. His wife was standing there looking at her frail son. Michael pulled his wife into a comforting embrace as she wept in his arms. He looked at his son and whispered to both his wife and to himself, "
"You WILL Live"
