Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is truly a work of art. It remains a very popular piece, and there have been many recordings of it over the years.
Beethoven is by far my favorite composer. I enjoy all of his music, and as it speaks to me very deeply, I wanted to leave a few words here.
Are there other pieces by Beethoven you like?

It's one of the most magical pieces ever composed. It was the piece that brought me into classical music. I heard it as a kid and loved it. I can't even explain the magic of it that I felt.

An amazing piece, I first heard it on a playstation game! Was also the piece for me that brought me to classical music. I love the 1st movement but I also enjoy the 3rds high energy and drama!

Mine too. It was one of the first pieces I learned to play. Only the first movement though. Timeless, like somebody else said.

Anyway, the Moonlight is definitely one of my favourite pieces. My wife occasionally will play it at home which is cool. It's interesting how (from what my wife tells me) it kinds of broke the rules a bit for typical compositions with the slow movement first, rather than the middle. But as they say - you have got to know the rules before you can break them.
