Is the False Prophet of the Apocalypse Mohamed?
A billion people mean Mohamed when they say the Prophet.
Many Jews and Christians agree that Mohamed is a false prophet. Do you think Mohamed is The False Prophet of The Apocalypse that is written about in the book of Revelations?
Is he the leader (as in originator of a religion) who tests the Church and the Jews to see how loyal they are to the teachings of God?

Maybe I coined it as shothand for the False Prophet that is found in the Revlations of Jesus by John.

ah do you mean something like the antichrist? I believe that anyone who preaches the wrong gospel is some sort of antiChrist. thats just how i see it. The bible does say that many will come in God's name and preach but its false and we must discern what is true adn what is false

The Beast and the False Prophet of Revelation.
Anti Christ as in Substitute Redeemer as in an ideology or the teachings of a False Prophet.

He may very well be... But Islam will have to become the religion that the entire world follows...and since it is the biggest growing religion (at least from what I've heard) that seems like a very reasonable idea. BUT that is not a concern for me. I already know we're in the end times, I'm focused on God and working for the Kingdom. INDY your original statement i feel i agree with and have done for years! after having an interesting debate with a Muslim friend of mine she once stated that the Koran is divisible by the number 11 which is supposed to be the hardest number to devide by and every letter every full stop can be devised by 11. and whats you point i asked her? she replied, for the times it was written in it must of come from god with no computers around and so on? but i said how do you know it was not from the devil? thats rediculous she said as if the devil would be saying love one another ect? but i stated if you was the devil the best way to get someone you follow you is to pretend you have there best interests at heart even if you don't? and with the resent bombings around the would done in the name of religion(Islam) i ask you is that done in the name of love and peace and god?

I think that a lot of Islams growth is illusory. People are born Muslims but do not necessarily believe it. Personally I think it more likely that we will see a collapse of Islam before the end and that the false prophet will come from a Christian context - he might be a pope or something for instance.
My reasons for suggesting this are that:

- the prophecies concerning the rebuilding of the temple. This would require the demolition of the Dome of the Rock and thus of the Islamic belief which currently makes this impossible.

- There is a sense of deliberate apostacy about the false prophet of Revelation whereas Mohammed was partly ignorant in his beliefs of true Christianity. The Koran does not seem to respond to an accurate relaying of the gospel but rather to a popular version of Christianity which is not biblical. e.g. Jesus did not die on cross, view that Trinity was Father, son and Mary (rather than spirit).

It is not 11, but it's 19! Also, as you can see from the link, not every letter, every fullstop can be devised by the magic number. Only certain letters. The Koran is not that magical, otherwise I would have been any Islam without any doubt.

The recent bombings is done in the name of Islam, but the bombers are do not believe in love and peace. They belief in destruction and mayhem, which is not what as truly religious person belief.

"If you're the devil the best way to get someone to follow you is to pretend that you have their best interests, even if you don't". While this statement is true, it doesn't proof that Islam is a religion inspired by the devil.
This statement just states that devil is cunning and you will never know when he hit you.
