Modern King James Version (MKJV)

Does anyone have any info, opinions, experiences, good or bad with this KJ version? Or on its translator, Jay P. Green.

I have a copy of a 1990 edition of Jay Green's Modern King James Version. It follows the same underlying original language texts as the KJV. It updates some of the archaic language of the KJV. In a few places, it differs from the KJV in how it translates the same texts.

In some places, Jay Green's Modern KJV would agree with the updating as found in the NKJV. Some places the MKJV would agree with the KJV and differ from the NKJV. Sometimes the MKJV may differ from both the KJV and the NKJV.

I used it for e-sword and enjoy it for that, but since then I have purchase the NASB set and enjoy it more. Sometimes I do go back and refer to it to see how he translated a certain text. I think Green's translation is a good translation, I just can't seem to find a way to justify switching from a NASB to his MKJV or even a NKJV to his MKJV.
