If you would like to be considered for a position as moderator in this (or any other!!) forum, you need to contact one of the mods in the forum of your choice and ask them if they will nominate you.
If they agree, a closed election thread (poll only) will be started in Ecumenical Moderator Applications along with a discussion thread.
These will run for 7 days after which, if successful, the applicant will be passed on for training. Alternatively you can enter your name in the Wiki: Staff service interest thread. and wait to be picked up by the appropriate staff member.
You can also enter your names here if preferred and either Pete or I will get back to you.
Note that appointments made now will only run until the end of the year.

So far as members wishing to see another put themselves forward, there was once a suggestion that members could nominate another but so far there doesn't seem to have been an appropriate protocol figured out for that. Thus it might be best to simply pm the individual and encourage him/her to apply.
