I play several different games MMO. I notice that MMO games are not monitoring users who are mean. It seems as though we are stuck having to just deal with them. I played Soul Caliber 5 online some time ago and got cussed out and kicked because i was winning everyone in the room. They were claiming i was a cheater, but I am just an intermediate level player on that game and they were probably newer at it than me. I even apologized, and changed my strategy from doing the same moves but it didn't matter they still cussed me out and kicked me whenever i won. I thought about reporting them, but i didn't know who to contact, or even if what they did constituted anything Namco could do anything about. I play BF4 on the PS4 and am usually a chopper pilot. Sometimes I am with a partner, so we wait patiently until the chopper is available and go into it when it appears. Well, the problem is that there is usually another pair of chopper players also waiting to get into it when it spawns. I believe it comes down to first come first serve, so its a rush to get to the chopper, but i notice they get mad if you get to it first so they place C4 on the chopper and blow you up if you get into it which sends you straight down! It also is common on BF3. I've been cussed out about that too, and people being really mean when they don't get their way for the same type of thing. I stopped playing WoW because the players were getting so upset when you picked "Need" over "Greed", as well as being cussed out on that too if you were playing a warlock and refused to be the nice guy and make a portal for ppl. I hear that game is moderated closely now, but not sure what types of things will get ppl busted. I am at the point of quitting Warband also, because of the way people are acting. Its always boiling down to the same thing.. they don't get there way, they have a tantrum. Anyhow, are there any other gamers out there that feel my frustrations? How do you deal with this?

Ugh I hate that. I played Maplestory until the problem with botters, hackers and trolls worsened. I can't say how it is now. But it's been almost two year since I played the game. Players would kill-steal, hack, bot and troll. They would try to steal your room in a channel simply because they didn't want to look for their own. Like, you'd offer to party and share and they just wanted to kick you out so you'd leave. Botting became a huge problem. If you couldn't pick 'em out and you talked at one you'd get banned. That became a problem. I ended up quitting. No one talked anymore because people were afraid they'd banned! No one wanted to party and share a room. It got boring. The trolls and cheaters won and took over the whole game.

I started EveOnline. The trolls are still there. They always will be and to some extent the game encourages it. Some of it is annoying. Like, ganking is a huge problem. You'd be mining in an asteroid belt in your mining ship and a pair of gankers would come along and kill you. You're powerless because you're in a mining ship, not a combat ship.

The only MMO I've played as an MMO (I played Star Trek Online, but only as a single player and did not do any of the multi stuff, didn't even join a guild/fleet) is Star Wars: The Old Republic.
First off, the need/greed thing you do need to be careful about. Unless the item is something you will actively use right then, choose greed. Otherwise you unfairly claim an item that someone else can use. It took me a bit to understand how that worked since I'm not an experienced MMO player.
Trolling on STO was bad in some spots. You'd have pay-to-win players in these ultra powerful ships trolling the areas where you can battle NPC Borg for loot. They'd just blow you out of space in a second even if you had a halfway decent ship.
SW:Tor isn't like that at all. Firstly, you can't really pay-to-win. So everyone is more or less on a level playing field. And if anyone bothers you at all, just block them. Poof.
I haven't had any real troll issues to speak of. People do try to steal security chests (treasure guarded by a boss), but it's not that big a deal. I've gotten good at slipping in and grabbing the loot while my companion distracts the boss. Then I jump in and fight once I've got the loot.
Overall, the community on SW:ToR is amazing. I meet all sorts of cool and supportive players willing to help and answer questions.
Oh, you can't be attacked unless you're in a designated PvP zone or you specifically accept being challenged to a duel. So you're in no danger of being jumped anywhere.
