Mixed messages = saying one thing and doing another and vice versa. It doesnt have to be verbal...

Much of it is due to simple miscommunication. One gesture or manner of speaking means one thing to person A, while it means something totally different to person B. Neither of them is aware of this, and people get hurt.

realize that it's something like 80% of communication is body language. Next is tone, and then content of your words is hardly anything compared to the rest of it.

When you are talking to somebody does your body language say you are interested while you're telling them adimately with your words that you aren't? or are you interested but your body language says you're closed off and you don't understand why they aren't responding? Try different postures... sometimes we revert to a closed off body language because that's what we're comfortable with...
