Branching off another thread here in MJ, I realized the need for a topic on this. I know that there are many out there that are being lead to follow the L-rd in a "Messianic manner" of Judaism but for now they are the only ones in their households. Some are being lead by the Ruach HaKodesh earlier than their partners, and some have partners that don't see why old traditions should be dropped. Some are true mixed marriages, a Jew married to a Gentile and have the different backgrounds to reconcile.
Then there are the relatives that don't understand or won't understand.
"Why can't you come for Christmas Dinner?"
"Why don't you let your children go on Easter egg hunts?"
Or even better..........
"Why do you need to do all that Jewish stuff?"
ETC.
So this is the thread to talk about this, your struggles, how you are coping, what the L-rd has lead you to do in your particular situation or what help you need from others that have gone through this.
