  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A couple of years ago my cat (he'll be nine in March) was diagnosed with feline asthma. He has never improved with medication prescribed for asthma and they have tried several. Recently he has gotten so bad that I began to think that maybe it was time to consider having him put down. In desperation I searched the internet for any other possible solutions and found an article about feline asthma often being misdiagnosed. Turns out that sometimes, it is just a plain low grade upper respiratory infection and responds well to antibiotics. I obtained some amoxycillin for Ricky and have been treating him for the past three days. I cannot believe the dramatic improvement!! He is not wheezing nearly as bad, not coughing and hacking...and he's even acting frisky!

That's great about the improvement.
Did you visit another vet afterword? I would be concerned about long term damage from the misdiagnoses especially if it was a couple of years ago.
Well anyway it sounds like you and your cat may half more than a few years left together.

May all your days together be happy and joyous :)
