Hey I was just messing around on YouTube, I found a documentary on Angola State Prison in Louisiana. Something like 3/4 of the inmates are in there for long sentences for murder, the prison was notorious for violence, constant fights, guards getting hurt, even murders inside the prison, it was completely out of control. According to this video a new warden launched a plan to change the prison using Christianity, the gospel! They built numerous churches inside and started having services for the inmates every day, also hundreds of inmates are now trained as ministers. This was a success story, the prison has changed completely! No more violence, no more crime, the prisoners now have hope despite a life-sentence! Many of the prisoners have found redemption! If you want to see the video the link is here:

Well, the violence and crime has gone down markedly at least.

Results are not equal, but the redemption that does take place is good.

Another documentary I watched on it which featured an inmate working outdoors - and that was the first job he ever had. And he had to get convicted of armed robbery, murder, or rape to be sent there.
