• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just wondering how one goes about starting a healing ministry of any kind? There seems to be a lot on the evangelism forum section about going to other countries and what not, like it's all just a snap once you get the language down in no time and fit right in,etc. Anyway, don't mean to sound facitious, but how exactly does the average layman, without college degree, church support, advanced language skills, and knowlegde of mission work in general go about doing any kind of missionary/ministry work, either here or abroad?
Not that anyone really knows, but just in case there may be one answer or piece of advice, other than the vague type of "you're basically on you own" response.
Thanks-
DavidB

Firstly, what you call the the ' average layman' is a very important person because they are potential missionary's in their own neighbourhood or wherever they are planted.
There are far more Christian people in this world without a collage degree in theology/mission training etc. So the trick is empower the layman to be an effective minister where he or she is planted.

If you find a church that is committed to do this you should not need to go to collage to become an effective minister of the gospel.

Churches that have a culture of revival are usually best placed to empower their congregations to become effective in ministering the gospel with signs, wonders, miracles, healing and stuff like that.

Blessings, Tee:)

Hi,

there are sick people every where, shopping centers, malls etc. Start to ask them if they would like you to pray for them. Not every one will let you some, do.

Another way is to put out leaflets in letter boxes offering to pray for the sick.

Then there is facebook. Facebook allows you to start up pages , you can advertise to people your post asking them if they would like prayer. I have reached thousands of people this way. Not sure of number of healings, if any, but it is still preaching the gospel.

There are lots of ways.
