*sigh* People just don't understand how big of a problem this has become. I think one of the BIGGEST forms of mind control out there is the media (which when you look into it is all owned and controlled by a handful of executives each having connections to eachother), and moreover, the entertainment industry.
I'm not so sure about weird radio waves and all that stuff... but I do know that the media is repsonsible for shaping and controling how we think, act, and live our lives every day. It's no longer God and His Word. Let's get into some good examples...
Teenagers naturally have this urge to rebel, to set themselves apart, to get out of the nest, so to speak. Some have this urge more than others. We all know this. The media portrays teenagers as "gangstas", drug dealers, drug users, sexually permiscuous, and overall trouble makers. Some pick up on this. Other ways that teenagers are viewed is caring mostly about clothes, being popular, being a cheerleader... yada yada... I remember during high school, I envied those kinds of girls because this is what the media wanted me to think. Now we also have the whole punk and goth thing going on... which is seen as an alternative to those to ways of being. In essence, they give up their individuality and ability to think for themselves. However, I heard someone say that the best way for a young person to "rebel" is to educate themselves, be a leader, work hard, strive to achieve, make an example for others. This really isn't how we see the media portray young people... if it is, they're portrayed in a negative fashion (geeks and nerds for one).
The media also drives women to all be small, thin, wear trendy clothes and look a certian way. Why do we see so many young women with eating disorders when they looked beautiful to begin with? There's such a huge market for plastic surgery these days... everyone wants botox, nose jobs, you name it. There's nothing wrong with making yourself look good, because it does give you some confidence. However, this is going about it the wrong way. Just look at all the magazines out there, and how women are portrayed on TV. I've never seen a middle-aged woman who didn't look gorgeous on TV. A woman might have an incredible talent at speaking and interviewing people, however if she's not a clone of a cover girl, then she's better off getting a job on the radio.
The RIAA controls so much of the music industry. People who do not get a deal with certian record companies have no hope of making it on the radio. Only artists that are from an RIAA label make it on the airwaves. Doubt me on this? Call up your local radio station and request an obscure song from an obscure artist who is not on one of those labels and see if your song gets played. I wouldn't doubt that one of the many reasons they're pursuing P2P is because this is the main way non-mainstream artists get their music to others.
We have the media to blame for such things as obesity from fast food. We are constantly sold the message that we need to be drugged up. Doubt me on this? Turn on the TV and watch it for an hour. Tally how many drug commercials are aired. Along with obesity, an overweight person is never (or rarely at most) shown on TV in positive light. However, we're also sold the idea that we need to go to heath clubs and eat certian foods. We now need to cut our carbs! (When this strict diet has been known to cause severe problems! Funny how Mr Atkins died of weight issues), Yes, being mindful of not eating too many carbs is a good thing, but eliminating most of them for a long period of time has been proven harmful. Yet, we are still sold this idea anyway.
Need I mention Reality TV? You wouldn't believe how many people buy into this. How can it be reality when it's staged, scripted, and planned from the start? Hmm, maybe because reality has become staged scripted and planned for the past 50 years or so. =P At any rate, I remember Joe Millionare, and how they portrayed the women. You wouldn't believe how many women think they need to fit this stereotype. "Hi I'm Andrea, I'm 29 and a nurse/teacher/secretary. I don't care about current events and what's going on in the world, but hey! I sure do love shopping!" Hmm and we wonder why there are so few women in the science field? It's just not classy enough... and who wants to break a nail on one of those microscope things? Like, totally!
I won't even get into what's happened to the news. This is probably the biggest means for mind control and conditioning. It's all negative news usually. Why? For many reasons. For one, it gives everyone a negative outlook on life, and they feel compelled to be drugged up to be happy. The reports of people being arrested at protests and "riots" is just a means of conditioning us for what's to come. This way we're used to it when the average innocent citizen is imprisoned for absolutey no reason. Oh, and once something incriminating or important is reported, it's immediately followed up with something like this or that major sports team winning this or that game... or some scandal. I'm not saying to not watch the news and pay attention to current events, but realize most of what you're seeing is being thrown at you for conditioning purposes. Watch it objectively.
We've become like the Romans, entertaining ourselves to death!
It's so widespread and so right under your nose, that the average person does not notice it going on! If you doubt me on this point, spend the next few days looking objectively at EVERYTHING the media spews at you. You will see what I'm talking about.
This is mind control... and it's very real.
