I live in Northeast Michigan, next to Lake Huron. The lake is very beautiful in the spring and summer and fall.

My friend owns a cottage up there about 15 mins from Battle Axe, right on Lake Huron. Pretty area!

Although in Puerto Rico now, I'm formerly from the Holy City of God, GRusalem the New (i. e., Grand Rapids, MI). I was so homesick that I took a little trip in the middle of February to stroll around in the snow (okay, so it really was to be the best man in my friend's wedding, but still, I strolled around in the snow quite a bit!). Don't complain about the winter: you might move to a tropical paradise one day and wish it was bitter cold and snowy and not 81 and breezy.

Anyone in Battle Creek area? My husband and I may be moving there. We are waiting for word from the Guard recruiters. My husband is already active duty USAF but wants to switch to full time Guard. My mom has brain cancer so we are praying to move back to MI instead of going to CA for our next base. I am originally from Traverse City.
