My coworker (an apple-ite) bought one, and regets it. His mac book and/or his iphone do everything just as good/better than his iPad

I hear you. There was a push for tablet PCs back in 2004 and they failed for the same reasons. But now people are forgetting the past because "Oooooh, it's Apple". Steve Jobs could put poop in a bag, light it on fire, and vend it. It would shake the market because "Ooooooh, it's Apple". What's so great about a closed design PC running a proprietary blend of FreeBSD?

The thing is crippled anyway. People are shelling out $500 for a "multimedia tablet" that can only play Apple file formats. If you want a tablet PC go with HP or MSI's Android tablet.
