I also voted for the Torah scroll. It seems that that is one of the most visible things that sets us apart from christians, our desire to strive to submit to Torah in our daily lives.

Yes, the seal was eliminated from this threads voting so I don't understand what is going on. I do like that our Jewish Members have a symbol as well, instead of having to chose from other.

I agree with you SH, the Torah is our core, as well as separates us from those who believe it was done away with, or nailed to the cross.

I'm sorry I can't be lumped into this, we were voting on a symbol and we had eliminated the one Erwin choose by a suggestion from someone not even a member of this forum, nor of MJ. So how is it we picked our own symbol?

I just changed it temporarily while members of this forum choose their own icon. I am happy to change it to anything that is decided by everyone here. None of these icons are set in stone. Feel free to vote on one final icon, and let me know. In the meantime, I changed it because of the presence of the cross in the previous icon. If the current one is a problem, I will change it back to the cross and the star icon.

Since Erwin used the Magen David as the Orthodox Jewish symbol, I went ahead and took it out of the poll. So, we're down to a Menorah and a Torah scroll, and it's a dead tie! Oh, the suspense!

I am sorry that you took offense at my postings Look, they were not meant to offend. However there is a distiction between Messianic believers( wether Jewish or Gentile) and Christians, heance the name difference. I agree we both believe in the same Messiah, but disagree when it comes to how we should worship him, when and with what Holydays. There is a great distiction there and that is why we have our own forum. It is not to segregate the Jewish believers from the gentile believers at all. There are many Jewish believers right here on these forums that choose to practice their faith in a strictly Christian manner , so it is not who we are in the flesh but the spirit in that we believe that there isn't a division of the G-d of the "old Testament" and the G-d of the "New", that is what separates us, but not who our G-d is nor His Messiah, that we (Hopefully) all agree upon!

As far as you using the seal, it was a distinct one with the separation of the two showing how they form the one whole and I was mentioning the fact that the site itself is copyrighted and I didn't want Erwin to run into any trouble. I was not casting dispersions on you, but seems that I did so unintentionally, and for that I apologize.
