The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I've messed up and wanted a second chance at something probably more than I can count on my fingers and maybe even toes. It's a real bummer when it's seems that all hope is lost after a huge mistake, but prayer will work it all out.

yes, and I always mess up when I'm manic depressed. Its sad that most people don't understand it, I'm trying hard to have more self control.

I messed up so bad once while manic, I took off from KY to TX with someone I didn't even know and stayed gone 2 months til anyone knew where I was. They had missing person posters up of me across the state and all and I didn't even know it. When they finally did find me, they were 2 days from assuming me dead.

A daughter of the King of Kings!
Messed up so many times in my manic anger. . .SIGH!!!! Such ugly things I have said!!! So glad to be on meds that work and to have been able to look at these things with a good counselor so that I have healthier coping techniques now and don't end up quite so out of control now. Always concerned that it can happen again though. I always told my kids, even without bp that we are human and will mess up, part of our fallen world. The question is whther we will mess up or not, but learning how to avoid it when possible, learning to be healthy and then WHAT YOU DO AFTER as a Christian, doe sit line up with the word of GOd-do you make excuses and try to avais dealing with it, or do you face it, confess it as wrong (sin) and ask for forgiveness, from God (who is faithful to forgive us 1 John 1:9) and the other party. That is what sets us apart as Christians. God Bless and WELCOME TO CF!!!! Hope to see and hear more from you!!!
