Hey Folks,

Anybody else Like this Band "Mercy Me"? I bought their Cd called " Spoken For". Great stuff on this disc. The vocalist is just a wee bit past my range, which is cool because it strecthes my ability and my range the more I sing their stuff. My band is doing the song " All the Above" and we are looking at doing "The change inside of me" as well. Great band and appropriate for Prasie and Worship too. Next Sunday Night we are playing at my church for a Fellowship Dinner and doing some Praise and Worship and some Christian Blues. We will be doing " All the Above". Check it out.

I also like them, although I really haven't listen to much past the 1st song on the CD & "I can only imagine". I'll have to take a listen to the songs you're talking about.
You're not doing "I can only imagine"? I have heard many singers try it and not quite get there, but there heart was there. I've only heard one vocalist nail it....it's an awesome song, if you've got the range.

Strat man,

I have that song on a Cd. It's not the Mercy Me Cd I have. I am also a lead vocalist with a somewhat limited range. The tougher the songs I try to sing are, the more my range increases. I'll have to give that song a close listen. I use my 8 Track digital recorder for my backing Band. I record the drums using a Drum machine. I do my own Bass work even though I have a bass player who plays with me. I just shut off the Bass track when he's around. I also record a rythem guitar. All this is played through my stage monitors and the mains and I play lead guitar and sing. I have an acoustic guitarist who works with me from time to time. The group is getting bigger slowly and soon the 8 track will no longer be needed. It's kinda cool though to have full band practice at 2;00 AM at low volume with bass, drums ect and nobody makes a mistake or argues about doing the same song over again. Maybe I will atempt to do that song.
